Peacock visits liquor store, leaves with smashed bottles

A female peacock on the loose in a liquor store near Los Angeles led an animal control officer on a chase that also led to smashing bottles of wine and champagne before the bird was finally nabbed.Without a peep, the peahen strutted into the open door of the Royal Oaks Liquor Store in Arcadia on Monday. Store manager Rani Ghanem said he didn't even know it was there until a customer walked in and asked him about “el pollo,” Spanish for “the chicken.”
