The Ukraine Army has conceded defeat in the village of Berdychi near Avdiivka along the frontline in the east. Ukrainian Army Chief said that forces lost control over the village over the weekend. On May 2, Russia's Defence Ministry said troops had "fully liberated the settlement of Berdychi." Videos on social media showed Russian soldiers holding up a flag in Berdychi to show that the village was in their control. The capture comes as yet another setback for Volodymyr Zelensky's men who have been lamenting the difficult situation at the frontline as they await military aid from the U.S. Watch.
