G8 set for showdown

A showdown is expected between the G8 rich nations and the fast growing nations as the two sides are likely to disagree over climate change and global trade at the G8 summit. Big emerging economies will come under pressure on Wednesday to respond to an initiative by the rich countries to work towards a target of at least halving their global greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
