The Maldives government today said that former President of Maldives, Mohammed Nasheed will not be arrested for the time-being. Nasheed took refuge inside the Indian High Commission in Male yesterday, after a court issued an arrest warrant against him. Nasheed is a free man until the court decides the next date of hearing in the case against him. Riot police barricaded the street outside the Indian High Commission after Nasheed's arrival at noon yesterday, as his supporters began to gather in protest against his possible arrest. Keywords: Maldives government, Mohammed Nasheed, Arrest, Refuge, Indian High Commission
