Nuclear assets are for defence, says Pak

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Pakistani Foreign Secretary Riaz Mohammad Khan said that his country's nuclear capabilities were only meant as a deterrent and defence. Khan told the Assembly that Pakistan has been diligently working to stop terrorists in its regions, mainly pro-Taliban militants in the ethnic Pashtun areas bordering Afghanistan.
