The Punta de Rieles jail in Montevideo, Uruguay believes in giving its detainees a second chance in life. They are encouraged to develop their own business ideas and even execute it with financial help from their families. Inmates have started a gym facility, yoga, theater and music workshops, a radio and a grocery shop. There is also a bank that inmates manage. With minimal security, the 500 prisoners in this prison facility can walk freely to work every day.
