The Chinese president called for “sincere” cooperation, deeper dialogue and greater mutual trust, arguing that the two powers’ interests are deeply intertwined. Xi said competition should be “healthy” rather than a contest over winners and losers, while urging fair treatment for Chinese companies in America. He also called for cooperation on artificial intelligence, stressing that AI should remain under human control.
