Iran's Revolutionary Guards said they firmly assert that the country's indigenous and peaceful nuclear technology cannot be destroyed by any attack.

The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric, said on Sunday that the military escalation in the Middle East can risk sparking warfare with 'irreversible consequences'.

Spoljaric called for civilians and medical personnel to be spared after the US military struck three Iranian nuclear sites, joining its ally Israel.

"The intensification and spread of major military operations in the Middle East risk engulfing the region -- and the world -- in a war with irreversible consequences," Spoljaric said in a statement.

"The world cannot absorb limitless war. Upholding international humanitarian law is not a choice -- it is an obligation. Civilians must be spared from the conduct of hostilities," the statement added.

Oman, which was the mediator in the nuclear talks between the US and Iran, strongly condemned the American strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

As per the official Oman News Agency, the Gulf sultanate "expresses deep concern, denunciation and condemnation of the escalation resulting from the direct air strikes launched by the United States on sites in the Islamic Republic of Iran".

Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said that Israel and the US have "blown up" diplomacy.

A German government spokesman said that the country calls on Iran to "immediately" resume negotiations with the US amid fresh escalations in the conflict with Israel.

Iran Israel war news: In the aftermath of US' strikes on Iran, Israeli and Saudi stocks saw a surge. As per Bloomberg, Israel’s TA-35 benchmark index advanced 1.2% as of 11:08 Dubai time, led by Bank Hapoalim. Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index was up 1%, as Al Rajhi Bank rose.

The Boursa Kuwait Premier Market Index traded 0.7% higher as of 10:39 a.m. Dubai time, while the MSX30 Index in Muscat slipped 0.6%. Qatar’s benchmark was 0.7% higher. 

Iran Israel war news: The Israeli health ministry has stated that at least 86 people have been injured after Iran's missile attack on Sunday.

As per a Times of Israel report, "86 injured people arrived at hospitals due to the latest round of Iranian missile strikes, including two in moderate condition, 77 in good condition, four victims suffering from acute of anxiety, and three who are undergoing medical evaluation."

Iran Israel war news: Following US' strikes against Iran, the European Union's top diplomat Kaja Kallas on Sunday called for de-escalation and a return to negotiations. 

"I urge all sides to step back, return to the negotiating table and prevent further escalation," Kallas wrote on X, adding that EU foreign ministers will discuss the situation on Monday. 

Iran Israel war news LIVE: Israel said it hit the aircraft at Iran's Dezful airport, Associated Press reported. The F-5s are part of Iran's aging fleet of fighter jets from the era of the shah. Israel released black-and-white footage showing one of the aircraft being destroyed.

Earlier, Israel said it hit F-14 Tomcats flown by the Iranian military in the war.

Iran Israel war news LIVE: Qatar, in response to the US strike on Iran, said that the tensions would lead to "catastrophic repercussions" on both regional and international levels. Qatar's foreign ministry, in a post on X, said it deplored the "deterioration" to the status quo after the US strikes.

Iran Israel war news: Bahrain has urged citizens and residents to use main roads only when necessary to "allow relevant authorities to use roads efficiently," Reuters reported. The development comes following strikes by the US against Iran's nuclear facilities.

Iran Israel war news: As per a Reuters report, a senior Iranian official has stated that the number of staff at the Fordow nuclear site has been reducued to “minimum.”  

This decision comes after the US launched strikes against Iran and targeted three nuclear sites - Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow. 

Iran Israel war news: Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, has called for an emergency meeting for the board of governors of the UN nuclear watchdog. 

“In light of the urgent situation in Iran, I am convening an emergency meeting of the @IAEAorg Board of Governors for tomorrow,” he wrote on X. His announcement comes after the US carried out strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran. 

Iran Israel war news: Following the US' strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, Saudi regulatory authorities stated that "no radioactive effects were detected" in the Gulf region after the American strikes.

"No radioactive effects were detected on the environment of the Kingdom and the Arab Gulf states as a result of the American military targeting of Iran's nuclear facilities," the kingdom's Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission wrote in a post on X.

Kuwait's National Guard also posted on X that "radiation levels in Kuwait's airspace and waters are stable and the situation is normal".

Iran Israel war news: In an official statement, the Iranian foreign ministry has wanrned that the US has entered a “dangerous war” with Iran. 

'Now, in completion of that regime’s unlawful and criminal acts, the United States itself has launched a dangerous war against the Islamic Republic of Iran," reads the official statement by the Iranian foreign ministry. 

Iran Israel war news: UK prime minister Keir Starmer has stated that Iran's nuclear programe was a “grave threat to international security.” The Labour leader's statement comes after US launched strikes against three nuclear sites in Iran. 

“Iran’s nuclear programme is a grave threat to international security. Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and the US has taken action to alleviate that threat,” he wrote on X. 

“The situation in the Middle East remains volatile and stability in the region is a priority. We call on Iran to return to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis,” Starmer added further. 

Israel Iran war LIVE: Magen David Adom stated that the latest Iranian attack has raises the wounded toll to 16.

“A man in his 30s is moderately wounded by shrapnel, and 15 other people are lightly hurt,” MDA was quoted as saying by the Times of Israel. 

Iran Israel war: Following US ' strikes on Iran, Iraq has warned that the US attacks “threaten peace and stability” in the Middle East.

Iraq "expresses its deep concern and strong condemnation of the targeting of nuclear facilities" in Iran, government spokesperson Basim Alawadi said. 

"This military escalation constitutes a grave threat to peace and security in the Middle East and poses serious risks to regional stability," he added.

Iran Israel war news: More personnel from the United States diplomatic mission departed Iraq over the weekend as part of ongoing efforts to reduce embassy staffing amid "regional tensions", a US official told news agency AFP. 

"As part of our ongoing effort to streamline operations, additional personnel departed Iraq on June 21 and 22," the US official told AFP.

Despite this departure, the embassy and the consulate in Baghdad remain operational.

Iran israel war LIVE: After Iran's barrage of missiles, Israel has launched fresh attacks against Tehran.  “The IAF has begun a series of strikes toward military targets in western Iran,” the IDf said on Telegram. 

“Additionally, this morning, the IAF struck missile launchers ready to launch toward Israeli territory, soldiers in the Iranian Armed Forces, and swiftly neutralized the launchers that launched missiles toward Israeli territory a short while ago,” the statement added further. 

As per Israel's national emergency services, a total of 11 people have been injured in Iran's recent missile barrage. 

Israel's Magen David Adom rescue service said in a statement that "11 people were taken to hospital, including one in moderate condition - a 30-year-old man wounded in the upper body by shrapnel."

As per Times of Israel, the CEO of Israel's national emergency medical, disaster, and ambulance service, said the rescue teams are currently respondingto impact calls from over 10 sites.
