Charlie Kirk killed: Past instances when Turning Point USA founder was threatened

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot while attending an event at the Utah Valley University in Orem, on Wednesday. Kirk, a Donald Trump ally, succumbed to his injuries shortly after and the President announced his demise in a Truth Social post.
Amid the news of his death, several posts from an account allegedly linked to one ‘Omar Najra Galvz’, surfaced, stating ‘something big’ would happen when Kirk visited the university. Notably, UVU's local newspaper reported that there was a fair amount of backlash on campus about Kirk attending and speaking at an event there.
The 31-year-old, who met a violent end while delivering a speech, has been subjected to threats several times in the past.

Seattle Church Event In 2021
In 2021, a pastor of a suburban Seattle church had to cancel an appearance by Kirk, after being threatened with arson and violence against church leaders by ‘radical terrorist mobs’, Washington Times reported.

Oregon Event In 2021
Turning Point USA event at an Oregon venue was cancelled the same year, after threats from ‘Antifa and far-left activists’, Kirk's own site reported.
The event was to take place at a Holiday Inn there, but management reached out via mail, saying “After careful consideration, we have made the decision to not allow tonight’s event to proceed at our hotel. We apologize or the short notice, and are making this decision out of an abundance of caution for the safety and security of our staff and guests.”
Arizona High School Teacher In 2024
In 2024, an Arizona high school teacher – Daniel Ashpes – was arrested for online threats against Trump and Kirk. “Daniel Ashpes was taken into custody by Tempe police on Thursday, after detectives were notified of threatening messages sent in response to an automated mass-messaging system asking for an RSVP to the Turning Point rally at a Tempe hotel,” the Tempe Police Department had said in a statement.
Meanwhile, FBI director Kash Patel had announced that a suspect has been taken into custody in Kirk's shooting, but recently said the person had been released.
