Tiger Woods has been involved in a car crash in South Florida, prompting concern among fans as early details begin to emerge.

What we know about the crash?

According to authorities, the incident took place on Friday afternoon shortly after 2pm local time near 281 Beach Road on Jupiter Island, a coastal town located north of Palm Beach.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office confirmed the crash involved a vehicle rollover. According to CBS12, a source at Martin County Fire Rescue said that it was a two-car crash, with one of the vehicles rolling over.

Investigation underway

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Officials have not released information regarding what caused the crash.

Is Tiger Woods okay? Condition unclear

At this stage, Woods’ condition remains unknown, with no official update on potential injuries.

Additionally according to CBS12, Martin County Fire Rescue is saying that there are no reported injuries. One person involved in the crash was described as stable, while another refused to go to the hospital.

However, officials also that said no further details would be provided until the sheriff's scheduled media briefing, which is expected to take place at 5pm and location has not been provided yet.

A look back at Tiger Woods’ serious 2021 crash

This is not the first time Woods has been involved in a serious accident. In February 2021, he was badly injured in a rollover crash in Southern California.

Los Angeles County authorities later said that speeding was the main cause of the crash. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, Woods was driving at about 84 to 87 mph in a 45 mph zone. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said the crash also happened due to "the inability to negotiate the curve of the roadway."

The car rolled over several times, and Woods had serious injuries to his lower right leg and ankle. He had a long surgery and treatment. The crash was called "purely an accident," and no charges were filed against anyone.
