Dr Lillian Glass, author of books like The Body Language of Liars and The Body Language Advantage, analyzed the footage from the 84-year-old's home where the masked subject appeared. The footage was released by the FBI a couple of days back as investigators hunt for Guthrie. She was reported missing on February 1 and authorities believe the octogenarian was taken from her home the night before.

No suspect has officially been named though FBI Director Kash Patel hinted that there were persons of interest in the matter. However, there has been a lot of social media speculation about Cioni and Evans. The former was reportedly the last person to see Guthrie before she was taken, as he'd dropped her off home after dinner with his wife, Guthrie's daughter, Annie. Evans was dragged into the conversation as interest in Cioni's personal life heightened, and claims were made about his bandmate's criminal past.

Once the subject's footage was released to the public, this buzz only grew and Dr Glass shared her thoughts on the same.

Dr Glass on masked man: Tommaso Cioni or Dominic Evans?

Sharing a photo of the masked subject alongside a picture of Cioni's band Early Black, Dr Glass wrote “What struck me the most was that the perpetrator had a slow and deliberate gait as though he had this ordeal planned. His movements were slow, unlike most burglars, who usually have rapid movement as they want to break in and get out quickly.”

She added, “That's why you often see more jerky, adrenaline-laden movements. This was the opposite, as he was very deliberate in his steps.”

Dr Glass noted there were some similarities between what could be made of the eyes of the masked subject and Cioni's. “The eyes are interesting as one of the lids is covered with more skin than the other. Coincidently Tomasso Cionis eyes are similar in that regard.” Referring to Evans, Glass said “So are the eyes of a gentleman standing to the left of Tomasso in a photo, who also has the same eye pattern.”

She shared the photo of Cioni flanked by Evans on the left and Walter Goncalves on the right. The body language expert also said that both men had ‘arched eyebrows’ but Cioni had more of his ‘dark eyelashes showing’.

“The perpetrator has a wide and flat nose at the base, as you can see from the shape in the baklava,” Glass also pointed out. She further spoke about the possibility of the masked person having facial hair – a point raised by many online who tried to find similarities with Cioni's appearance.

“Also, the balaclava is curved at the bottom. Most balaclavas do not have this curve and outline the chin as they go straight to the neck unless there is a beard housed in it. Tomasso has a beard,” Glass added. Speaking about the mustache, which was also allegedly visible from the footage, Glass said “There is also a dark, thick moustache you can see in the upper area of the mouth. Cioni also has a dark moustache. The man standing to the left of Tomasso in the photo has a sparse moustache, while Tomasso's is thick. Tomasso's is also full in the middle, while the other man has no hair growth in that area.”

She also compared the physical structure of the masked subject with those of Cioni and Evans. “The perpetrator in the video is in good physical shape and seems to have a flat stomach area and muscular thighs. In looking at Tomassos photos and the photo of the other man, they too have a flat stomach and long arms and seem to be in good shape like the perpetrator,” Glass wrote.

She ended her message saying that she was not 'accusing' either Cioni or Evans was the perpetrator. However, in her expert opinion there were ‘several similarities’ with the masked subject that made one ‘ask questions’.

In her post, Glass also opined that the subject's movement suggested they were ‘familiar with the details of the home’ and ‘may have known Nancy’. Amid the ongoing search, there have been questions among many online whether Guthrie's kidnapping is an inside job.

Authorities have provided no current evidence to lend credence to that hypothesis. However, a neighbor of Guthrie's also hinted that the masked subject might at least be local, if not known to Guthrie.

The person was spotted looking down while approaching the door, and Fox News' Michael Ruiz shared the alternate explanation provided. “One of Nancy Guthrie’s neighbors just presented an alternative explanation for why the man seen on her doorbell cam was looking down when he approached her front door,” he wrote, sharing the footage.

“Although it’s not rattlesnake season, people tend to walk with flashlights and look down at night around here to avoid accidentally stepping on them,” the reporter added.
