A bomb killed at least three people and wounded 21 others at a market selling CDs in the northwestern Pakistan city of Peshawar on Monday, police said.

"At least three people were killed and 21 others wounded in a bomb blast," police official Mohammad Faisal told AFP.
Earlier on Monday, a Taliban suicide car bomber flattened the house of a senior counter-terrorism police officer in Pakistan's financial capital Karachi, killing eight people including six policemen.
Nearly 4,700 people have been killed across Pakistan in attacks blamed on Taliban and al Qaeda-linked networks based in the country's northwestern tribal belt since government troops stormed a radical mosque in Islamabad in 2007.
