Siberian dies while testing homemade plane
A 53-year-old Siberian resident died as his homemade plane crashed, the press service of the regional interior ministry told Itar-Tass.
Police are investigating the Sunday's crash of a single seat plane here in the Yemelyanovsk district, in which a resident of the Krasnoyarsk territory tested his homemade plane on a motorway running between two villages, the agency said.
According to witnesses, his plane made several takeoffs and landings, flew high into the skies and soon after crashed in the nearby forest.
Police dispatched to the spot of the accident found the plane and the pilot's body. The man had been building homemade planes over the past thirty years.
