Charging police of complicity, Singh said that case was registered against Shrivastava only after hundreds of people laid seize of the road and still six days after the incident, he was roaming free.

Asking the chief minister to ensure prompt arrest of the accused to salvage the image of his government, Singh said that vandalism in MP was on the rise and complicity or connivance of administration and government with gunda elements was one major reason for it. Singh had also visited the residence of Jain during his recent visit to the state capital.
