Actor Katrina Kaif is looking forward to the release of her next big banner film, Bharat opposite Salman Khan and has already begun the celebrations. The actor has gifted herself a Range Rover and showed it off on her Instagram account. She shared the picture of the white luxury car while leaning on to it in a short red dress paired with a denim shirt.
Her fans, too, were floored by her new purchase and flooded the comments sections with ‘wow’ and ‘beautiful’. The actor reportedly bought the top model Range Rover in March this year. She already owns an Audi and managed to get the same registration number for the new car. The car is estimated to cost between Rs 1.82 - 4.05 crore in India.
Katrina’s last release Zero, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and also starring Anushka Sharma in a prominent role, flopped at the box office. The actor played an alcoholic superstar in the film.
The Baar Baar Dekho actor has now paired with Salman for the fifth time in Bharat. She plays the role of Kumud, a recruitment incharge in an oil refinery in Kuwait and was introduced by Salman as his ‘Madam Sir’. The two feature in the new romantic number from Bharat, titled Chashni.
Recently talking about her role in Bharat during a Facebook chat, Katrina said, “I had two months to prepare once we cracked the physicality and hair, everything fell in place.” But Salman had interrupted to add, “Priyanka didn’t give us much time.” Katrina replaced Priyanka Chopra in the film, who bowed out as she was supposed to marry Nick Jonas around the same time.
Calling it a challenging task, she added, “There were distinct sections in the film from the year 1975 to 1990 (when her character enters the film) and then 2010. At least it was clear from these three distinct portions where you are going to see the change in the character’s age, which was very helpful. The important thing was to get the body language right for the older portion, and to see the mindset of that age.”
