In the fifth instalment of our Celebrity Lifestyle Series, get to know the children of top Bollywood and television actors. From chilled out infants to savvy teens, these are pretty colourful personalities.bollywood Updated: Jul 08, 2017 12:09 IST
Taimur, Misha, AbRam, Suhana, Jhanvi... these star kids no longer need their parents’ names for people to know who they are. Their ages vary — some are infants just a few months old; some are pre-teens; some are young adults on the verge of starting their career — but what they have in common is a natural charisma and charm (is it their genes?) that keeps them in the limelight.
With top actors from Bollywood and television as their celebrity parents, these kids already enjoy a star status and attract about as much media attention as their parents do. Their holidays, parties, planned film debut, and whatever else they do makes headlines. The parents have different strategies for handling this. While some stars prefer not to share pictures of their kids publicly, others go all out on social networks, letting their kids get used to the media glare.
As part of our on-going Celebrity Lifestyle Series, this time we take a look at these much talked-about star kids, who often steal their parents’ thunder. From their schooling, education, media exposure, and career plans, get all the dope here.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan
Born on December 20, 2016, the apple-cheeked Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, son of actor couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is one of the cutest babies in Bollywood. Although Kareena and Saif are yet to officially post a picture of Taimur, the six-month-old has often been clicked accompanying Kareena.
Besides Taimur, Saif has two more children — Sara Ali Khan (24) and Ibrahim Ali Khan (15) — from his first marriage with actor Amrita Singh.
The formerly plump Sara has now achieved some fitness goals with her new toned self. In May last year, Sara graduated from Columbia University in New York, US. All set to make her Bollywood debut, Sara is rumoured to be paired opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath.
Ibrahim went to Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai, and was actively involved in sports. He has already made his Bollywood debut... as a child actor in Saif’s film Tashan (2008), where he played the younger version of Saif’s character. Reportedly, Ibrahim is close friends with Akshay Kumar’s son Aarav. In a recent interview, Saif has spoken about how Ibrahim had been approached for an ad campaign.

Misha often gets clicked with mommy Mira as well, whenever they’re travelling. Talking about how she is protective as a mother, Mira said in an interview, “It bothers [me] sometimes when it gets too much or the paps come too close, especially with Misha, when there are so many flashes. She’s a small baby and her eyes are a still little sensitive, and it is something that we like to monitor. One doesn’t want to hide their child from the world, but it’s the flash that one is concerned about.”
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor
Veteran actor Sridevi and filmmaker Boney Kapoor have two daughters — Jhanvi Kapoor (20) and Khushi Kapoor (16) — and both went to Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai. While Jhanvi is set to make her Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2, she has been in the limelight for sometime now, which has often bothered her mother. “I’m concerned about my children being so much in the media. I would’ve been happy if Jhanvi would all of a sudden star in a movie. Now, she is already in the media. But yes, the times have changed, so you better accept it,” Sridevi told us earlier. Reportedly, Jhanvi will take an acting course from an institute in California, US. As for Khushi’s career choices, mum Sridevi said, “Khushi says she wants to get into modelling. Pehle (earlier), she wanted to become a doctor. Phir (then) doctor se lawyer and now it’s modelling. So, I am waiting for the shock to happen.”

An adorable baby, Lakkshya often gets clicked with his grandfather, veteran actor Jeetendra, and his aunt, serial and film producer Ekta Kapoor. Last month, a grand party was thrown for Lakkshya. It was attended by bigwigs from Bollywood, and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son Taimur was seen bonding with the one-year-old. While Tusshar often takes to Instagram to post Lakkshya’s pictures, he admits that he wasn’t comfortable doing that initially. “I never wanted to keep him away from the limelight. I was just scared back then. But now that he’s one year old, I will share [photos] henceforth. I don’t even like to display everything, because some things are too precious. Some things are very private and some things you can share with the world. It should be that way,” the actor was quoted as saying.

Talking about what her kids wish to do once they grow up, Raveena once said in an interview, “My kids are [too young] to think about films and their interest area. Proud to have opted for IVF to have her children, Farah earlier said, “It is important that we come forward and take pride in this because it gives so much courage and so much hope to people who want to do it, but are scared to do it. They even go on vacations. “Hrehaan is like his father. He is extremely intelligent and superb in calculations. He is a very quiet boy, but is inquisitive about things around him. Talking about her future plans, Shah Rukh said, “Suhana wants to be an actress. I see that zeal in her. She’s extremely good on stage; I’ve seen her performances. She’s admittedly a cinema fan and wants to be in the industry.”
Shah Rukh’s youngest child, AbRam, was born through surrogacy in 2013. AbRam is often spotted with his dad at Indian Premier League matches and their airport pictures also get everyone talking. “AbRam is extremely protective of me. There are times [when] he watches somebody hit me on screen and he thinks it’s for real. So, the next time he meets them, he gives them dirty looks. Otherwise, he’s a total chiller.
