Without further ado, let’s go out and say it: Happy Birthday Sara Ali Khan. Saif Ali Khan’s beautiful daughter turns 23 today and August 12 has always meant lots of celebration for her. But this year, Sara doesn’t really have birthday fun on her mind. Reason? The debutante has kept aside her special day for the rehearsals of a song that she has to shoot for the Rohit Shetty-directed Simmba “in a couple of days”.
“This year, her plans are quite different,” says an insider, close to the newbie actor. “Sara, who otherwise rings in her birthday with friends and family, will spend the day rehearsing for a song from her upcoming film.” Apparently, the actor has dedicated the entire day to “learning the dance routine for her film as the shoot date for the number is nearing”.
The insider adds, “The song that Sara is rehearsing for is an important and big one. Although the makers asked her to take an off for her birthday, she has chosen to continue rehearsing.”

Actually, for this, Sara has been following a gruelling schedule for a couple of weeks now — she doesn’t to interrupt that rhythm. “That’s why she doesn’t want to take a break and change her ‘dance routine’ on her birthday,” says the insider.
This is going to be a very special year for Sara, as she is all set to make her big screen debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, co-starring Sushant Singh Rajput. Even before its release, she has bagged another biggie — Simmba, opposite Ranveer Singh.
“Sara is really committed to her work, and there’s a lot of excitement [around her]. So, she is leaving no stone unturned for her first films,” says the insider. Sara could not be reached for a comment.
