The first song of Shraddha Kapoor-Aditya Ry Kapur’s Ok Jaanu was released Thursday evening. A reworked version of the hit song Humma Humma (Bombay, 1995), the song is already a hit with fans: In less than 24 hours since its release, the song has touched an impressive 5 million views mark on YouTube.
The new version has Jubin Nautiyal and Shashaa Tirupati crooning, with Badshah lending his voice for the rap. The music, originally composed by AR Rahman, has been recreated by Badshah & Tanishk Bagchi. Neither the new music nor the rap adds value to the song. While the original music had bouncy energy to the tunes, the new one slows it down.
However, Shraddha and Aditya add flavour with their chemistry to the new version, making it a visual treat. The original had Sonali Bendre in a guest appearance, dancing to the tunes of AR Rahman. In the Ok Jaanu song, both Shraddha and Aditya showcase infectious flexibility and jazz with their dance moves.
