Actor Pallavi Sharda, who has previously starred in films like My Name Is Khan (2010), Love Breakups Zindagi (2011) and Heroine (2012), will be seen as the female lead for the first time in Abhinav Singh Kashyap’s next, Besharam.

She will star opposite Ranbir Kapoor in it. And even before that film hits theatres, we’ve been informed that the actor has already been signed for another project in a lead role. A source close to Pallavi reveals, “She has been signed as the lead opposite Ayushmann in a film that’s tentatively titled, Bombay Fairytale. The movie is a biopic on Shivkar Talpade, who is believed to have constructed and flown India’s first unmanned airplane in 1895. Ayushmann will play the role of the Talpade, a Maharashtrian. The makers chose her because they felt she suits the role.”

Bombay Fairytale will be produced by Guneet Monga and is being directed by Vibhu Puri, who has previously worked with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
