Pulkit Samrat to play an army man in Junooniyat

Actor Pulkit Samrat has essayed ­different roles in his previous films such as Fukrey (2013) and Jai Ho (2014). Now, the actor is all set to play an army officer for his upcoming film, Junooniyat.

Actor Pulkit Samrat has essayed ­different roles in his previous films such as Fukrey (2013) and Jai Ho (2014). Now, the actor is all set to play an army officer for his upcoming film, Junooniyat.

This is the first time that the 31-year-old is playing such a role. According to the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri, while Pulkit is doing a good job ­portraying the character, he is also enjoying the shoot by playing pranks on the crew and cast of the film. "Pulkit is like a ­prankster kid who is always jumping around, but when the shot is ready, he completely transforms into his ­character," he says.

Vivek, who has directed films such as Chocolate (2005), Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007) and Hate Story (2012), is also impressed with the way Pulkit often manages give the perfect shot right in the first take. "It is very interesting to watch Pulkit act, as he even performs the ­difficult scenes so well in the very first shot. The shot is always perfect in the very first take," he says.
