The security around Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai’s Galaxy Apartments has been beefed up after the actor received death threat from gangster Sampat Nehra. According to Haryana Police, Nehra had done recce to kill the actor and had been planning to execute it for the past few months. Nehra, who was arrested in Hyderabad, was a sharpshooter with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang of Rajasthan.

Lawrence Bishnoi had threatened to kill the actor in January over the blackbuck case, for which the actor used to visit Rajasthan to appear in court. However, Salman’s family is unfazed by these threats. The actor’s father and screenwriter, Salim Khan, says this isn’t the first time Salman has received such threats, but ‘the work can’t stop.’

Salim, in a conversation with Mid-Day, said that the police is doing its job well. He said, “There is added security for Salman, who has, in any case, always had a good team of security personnel deployed for him. It (threat) is not much of a concern (for the family). We are only worried about his safety, and that is being taken care of.”

On the work front, Salman will soon be seen in Race 3, directed by Remo D’Souza. The film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem in important roles.

Race 3 will hit the screens on June 15, 2018.
