As per tradition, Salman Khan on Saturday greeted his legions of his fans on the occasion of Eid. The actor, affectionately called ‘bhai’ by his admirers, waved to a sea of people who had gathered outside his home. Videos of the star were shared on social media.

Photographer Viral Bhayani shared the video on his Instagram account. The video seems to have been shot by someone in Salman’s entourage, considering that the person is standing behind the star as he greets hundreds of fans from the balcony of his home. Salman is dressed in a traditional kurta.

The actor had another reason to celebrate on Saturday. First day numbers of his latest release, the action-thriller Race 3, have been spectacular. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that the film had registered the biggest opening day figures of 2018. Eid is a staple release window for Salman Khan - the actor has had a new film on the holiday for the last eight years.

The film made Rs 29 crore on Monday. With the latest figures, Race 3 also became the third highest opener Salman has had in the past decade. Sultan and Ek Tha Tiger remain ahead of Race with Rs 36.54 crore and Rs 32.93 crore respectively.

Salman will now move on to his next film, Bharat, directed by his Tiger Zinda Hai and Sultan director, Ali Abbas Zafar. The film will mark the Bollywood comeback of Priyanka Chopra, who has been working abroad for the last couple of years.

Salman currently hosts the TV game show, Dus Ka Dum, and is expected to return as host on the new season of Bigg Boss.
