KN Vaidyanathan takes charge as Sebi ED

Former Morgan Stanley top executive KN Vaidyanathan has taken charge as the Executive Director of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Former Morgan Stanley top executive KN Vaidyanathan has taken charge as the Executive Director of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Prior to this assignment, Vaidyanathan was the Chief Executive Officer of Alchemy Capital Management.

He was also a member of various committees including Sebi committee on guidelines for investing abroad and Sebi committee on depository implementation among others, a press release said here.

Vaidyanathan has also held senior positions in Mphasis and HSBC, it said.
