KTM RC450 leaks ahead of official unveil: Will it come to India?
KTM RC450 leaks reveal a 55.4 hp engine, 195 kmph top speed and WP suspension, though an India launch seems unlikely.

KTM’s new upcoming RC450 has been leaked in the Chinese type-approval documents. In the documents, reported by Australian Motorcycl, there was also an image of the new motorcycle that will share its underpinnings with the CFMoto 450SR-S. As of now, we do not have a launch or even an unveil timeline for the motorcycle.

KTM RC450 specs
Powering the RC450 is the same 449 cc parallel-twin engine that is doing duty on the CFMoto 450SR-S. The engine puts out 55.4 hp of max power on the RC450, which is slightly higher than the 450SR-S’s 51.7 hp.
KTM RC450 top speed
The documents also reveal that the RC450 can hit a top speed of 195 kmph. When compared, the CFMoto 450SR-S has a top speed of 192 kmph.
KTM RC450 weight
The document also says that the RC450 will weigh 168 kg as compared to 171 kg of the 450SR-S.

KTM RC450 different hardware
Despite the common platform, several notable differences exist between the KTM and CFMoto. Most significantly, the RC450 is equipped with WP suspension components rather than the KYB units that are present on the CFMoto. Although only one image of the motorcycle has emerged thus far – which restricts comprehensive analysis – it does verify the inclusion of a quickshifter and a steering damper. Additionally, it is highly probable that the KTM will come with higher footpegs and a lower handlebar, leading to a more aggressive riding posture compared to the 450SR-S. Additionally, the documents indicate that the RC450 features a wheelbase of 1,360 mm, which is 10 mm less than that of the CFMoto, suggesting a design with sharper and more aggressive geometry so it would change directions faster and respond to rider inputs quicker.
The braking system is provided by Bosch, and similar to the CFMoto, the RC450 is equipped with a 110/70-17 front tyre and a 150/60-17 rear tyre.
KTM RC450 launch
KTM launching the RC450 in the Indian market is highly unlikely as of now. This is because the motorcycle is not being manufactured in India by KTM. Instead, it will be produced by CFMoto.
