Mild tremors felt in Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada; 3rd incident in 6 days
Dakshina Kannada saw more mild tremors - around 3.5 on the Richter scale on Tuesday; this is the second incident in four days in the district and third in six days in the state.
Tuesday morning saw more mild tremors in Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district - the second one in four days. Measuring around 3.5 on the Richter scale, it was was felt by residents for about four seconds, PTI said.

Tremors of 2.3 magnitude were recorded at 9 am on Saturday, worrying residents of Kallugundi, Sampaje, Goonadka, Aranthodu, Ivarnadu, Thodikkana and Peraje. Several people ran out of their homes as the earth shook for about 45 seconds. There were cracks in some buildings.

The National Center for Seismology said the quake was in Kodagu district at a depth of five km. Areas affected were Sampaje, Aranthodu, Peraje, Jalsoor, Ubaradka, Thodikana and Mittur in Sullia taluk of the district.
It is not clear if residents heard any loud sounds along with the tremors, like they experienced on Saturday. Hassan district and neighbouring regions in Karnataka on Thursday registered a 3.4 magnitude earthquake.
