Punjab CM-designate Bhagwant Mann pays obeisance at gurdwara Janam Asthan Cheema Sahib
CM-designate Bhagwant Mann told reporters that when he started his career as a comedian, he used to come to gurdwara Janam Asthan Cheema Sahib to practice harmonium.
Two days after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s historic win in the Punjab assembly elections, CM-designate Bhagwant Mann paid obeisance at gurdwara Janam Asthan Cheema Sahib in Sangrur on Saturday.
Davinder Singh, president of the Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, and Bhai Jagjit Singh, sevadaar of gurdwara Janam Asthan Cheema Sahib, honoured Mann with a siropa.
The CM-designate told reporters that when he started his career as a comedian, he used to come to this gurdwara to practice harmonium.
He visited Akal Academy Cheema Sahib and praised the value-based education being imparted to children in 129 Akal academies and two universities being run under the aegis of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib.
On this occasion, he also congratulated the Sangat on the 156th birth anniversary of Sant Attar Singh.
