Seeking MSP, Samyukt Kisan Morcha members carry out march in Ludhiana
Press for the implementation of the MSP, guaranteed purchase of crops and recall of the Electricity Bill during march in Ludhiana
The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Sunday submitted letters to the member of Parliament (MP) from Ludhiana, Ravneet Singh Bittu, seeking the discussion on farmers’ pending demands during the Parliament’s winter session.

Members of the union carried out a march from Circuit House to Rose Garden before raising slogans against the government.
Among the leaders present on the occasion were Raghuvir Singh Benipal, secretary, Jamhoori of Kisan Sabha, SP Singh of All-India Kisan Sabha, Mohinder Singh Kamalpura of the Bharatiya Kisan Union Dakota, Manpreet Singh of the Dasmesh Kisan Union, Satnam Singh Waraich of the All-India Kisan Sabha.
The leaders pressed for the parliamentarians to mount pressure on the Centre for the implementation of the minimum procurement price (MSP) law for crops, guaranteeing the purchase of crops and the return of the Electricity Bill, 2022 among other issues..
They also demanded the removal of Union minister of state for home Ajay Mishra from the cabinet in view of the Lakhimpur incident where four protesting farmers were allegedly crushed to death by a convoy that included cars owned by the minister. His son was alleged to be present in one of the cars in the convoy. They demanded that the cases registered against the protesting farmer leaders in the country also be dropped and policies favouring corporate companies be scrapped.
Bittu, meanwhile, assured the farmer leaders that he would raise their concerns in the Parliament.
