When Delhiites make waves globally and return to give it back to the people of their hometown, it makes one swell with pride. That’s the path Aisha S Kothari is following by curating a three-day shopping soiree to not only showcase handpicked luxury apparel, accessories and jewellery, but also to raise funds to educate underprivileged children and empower women.
“We wanted to make sure that the money reached the beneficiaries directly and that’s how this event was conceived,” says Kothari. Her experiential retail platform, AiSPi, curates fashion’s best-kept secrets and brings international brands to India. All this can be witnessed in the trunk show, The Glam Garden, on November 28 and 29 at Cosy Box in Netaji Nagar, Delhi. “We wanted to end the year on a note of giving back. We tied up with Rosantica, an Italian brand that’s sponsoring 15 handbags. We’re donating all the proceeds of the bags to the non-profit, The Bigger Picture, for the welfare of women and children. All 15 buyers will receive a report on the deployment of their funds,” she says.
