A police van carrying Aaftab Poonawala, accused of killing and chopping his partner Shraddha Walkar into 35 pieces, was attacked in the national capital on Monday.

The attackers were shouting slogans and attempting to enter the police van in the video released by news agency ANI.
According to ANI reports, police detained two men who had swords, attacked van carrying accused Aaftab Poonawala.
During the incident outside the Forensic Science Laboratory in Rohini, at least five police personnel were guarding Poonawala. He had underwent polygraph test at the FSL Laboratory earlier in the day.
Poonawala is currently in judicial custody after he was arrested on November 12 for allegedly murdering his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar six months ago. He later chopped her body into 35 parts, kept in a refrigerator for about three months and then dumped them across south Delhi.
