In Delhi, man's car dash cam captures hooligans harassing him on busy road, four held

In the video, a group of young men on bikes halted the victim's car near the Nangloi Railway Station metro in north Delhi.

A Twitter user identified as Praveen Jangra took to the social media platform to demand action against a group of hooligans who harassed him on a busy road in Delhi. The incident was captured on his car's dash camera and shared online. Following the viral video, Delhi police's deputy commissioner (outer), Harendra Kumar Singh, took cognisance of the issue and confirmed the arrest of four individuals on Wednesday.

Jangra alleged the unidentified men beat him up and labelled them hooligans. “Some miscreants stopped me in the middle of the road and beat me up. All this happened at Nangloi Railway Station Metro. This type of hooliganism has become common in the capital of the country. @DelhiPolice should look into the matter and take strict action against these goons,” Jangra tweeted on Monday, sharing the video clip.

In the video, a group of young men on bikes halted the car near the Nangloi Railway Station metro in north Delhi. They approached the driver's side and verbally abused him, demanding to see the car's papers, while Jangra kept pleading with them to let go of the matter. The camera showed the incident that happened on Sunday around 9 pm where after intimidating the driver, the group of approximately seven to eight individuals boarded their bikes and left the scene.

Jangra alleged the altercation resulted after the Bullet owner was using a dipper despite a red light, to which he had objected, which he said, seemed to anger the accused.

Meanwhile, the news of the arrest of four people in the matter was shared by Singh on Twitter this morning. “They did this, we did this,” Singh tweeted with the photo of the arrested accused persons.
