Mumbai: A major fire broke out at a 3,500 sq.ft wooden works godown in Nagpada on Saturday evening. As of Saturday night, no injuries were reported.
Fire erupts at godown in Nagpada, none injured
The level-2 blaze erupted around 8 pm at a single-storied godown in Lakdawala Bazaar, located behind Raj Oil Mills on Jehangir Boman Behram Marg. The area, also known as Hussaini Lakda Bazaar, houses several commercial godowns and small workshops involved in fabrication and related work.
Deputy chief fire officer SD Sawant said that seven fire engines, six jumbo water tankers and two aerial water telescopic towers with a combined water capacity of 16,000 litres were rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control.
