Noida: A shopkeeper was allegedly assaulted by a group of suspects in Sector 12 in Noida on Sunday over a parking dispute.

The entire incident was recorded on CCTV cameras, whose footage has gone viral on social media platforms. In the footage, a group of men can be seen running towards the shop and dragging out the shopkeeper. They then proceed to manhandle him and hit him with a chair, before leaving him grievously injured.
Police registered a case under Section 147(rioting), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentionally insulting and provoking a person to break peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Gyan Singh, station house officer (SHO) of Sector 24 police station said, “The victim is doing fine now. We are going through the footage and trying to identify the suspects. We will be taking them into custody at the earliest.”
The complaint was filed by the owner of the shop, Vishal Arora, who said that the incident took place at around 8pm on Sunday.
“My employee, Rizwan Saifi, asked one of the suspects to remove his scooty that was parked in front of my shop so as to give space to a car. He started abusing and hitting my employee and he rushed inside the shop. After some time, four to five men barged into the shop and assaulted Saifi. They used an iron chair kept outside to hit him with the intention of killing him,” said Arora.
Arora added that the attackers stopped only after the victim fell on the ground and fled from the spot.
Police said that parking disputes around market areas are reported nearly every day in Noida, often leading to physical assault.
