Varanasi: BJP to hold social justice week from April 6
BJP will organize a 'social justice week' from April 6 to April 14, starting with the party's foundation day celebration where PM Modi will address party workers. The week will include the birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise ‘social justice week’ from April 6 to April 14. The celebration will begin on April 6 when the party celebrates its foundation day, said Dilip Singh Patel, Kashi region BJP president on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the party workers on the day, he added.

The decision was taken in a meeting, Patel held with his party workers on Thursday.
Patel said that the party has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of the famous social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on April 11. On this day, the contribution made by Mahatma Jyotiba Phule to society will be remembered by garlanding his picture at all the booths. The party workers will apprise people of the work done by the government for the upliftment of the backward castes.
Patel added that the party will celebrate the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on April 14 as ‘social harmony day’. On this day, a cleanliness campaign will be conducted around the statues of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, besides garlanding the statues and discussing the contribution of Baba Saheb to the country.
Patel said that the party’s booth empowerment campaign is going on, and we all have to strengthen our booth by working on the lines of “My booth is the strongest”.
