Two killed after car collides with autorickshaw in Patna district; 6 injured

The identity of the deceased has not yet been ascertained while the injured have been rushed to Naugachhia sub-divisional hospital

In a tragic incident, at least two persons were killed while six others were seriously injured when a speeding car hit an autorickshaw from behind on Chausa-Naugachhia road near Naugachhia district in Patna on Thursday evening.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been ascertained while the injured have been rushed to Naugachhia sub-divisional hospital.

The sub divisional police officer (SDPO) of Naugachhia Dilip Kumar said the injured were rushed to Naugachhia sub divisional hospital.

“We are trying to identify the victims” he said adding the car and auto were damaged completely.

Chausa circle officer Rakesh Kumar Singh who was also at the accident site said, “Two bodies have been disfigured in such a way that their identities are not easy.”

He, however said preliminary reports suggest that the victims are residents of Bhagalpur, Purnia, Naugachia and Madhepura.

Police officials said both car and auto were on way to Bhagalpur when the accident took place.
