Several parts of Pune will face a 24-hour water supply shutdown on Thursday, September 10, as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) carries out electrical, pumping and maintenance work at various water supply facilities, officials said.

The disruption will affect areas supplied through the Parvati HLR, Bhama Askhed, SNDT HLR, Chandani Chowk, Gandhi Bhavan, Pancard Club, Warje, Chaturshringi, Pashan-Sus, Katraj-Sukhsagar, Holkar, Kondhwa-Dhawade and Vadgaon water systems.

Affected areas include Sahakarnagar, Bibwewadi, Mukundnagar, Gangadham, Indiranagar, Lohegaon, Dhanori, Viman Nagar, Wadgaonsheri, Kalyani Nagar, Yerawada, Kharadi, Aundh, Bopodi, Kothrud, Warje, Baner, Pashan, Bavdhan, Katraj and Kondhwa.

Nandkishor Jagtap, head of the PMC Water Supply Department, said, “Citizens are requested to make necessary arrangements and cooperate with the PMC during the water supply shutdown.”
