Pune’s Bishop’s education society provides ₹2 lakh insurance cover to students

Students of its three schools at Camp, Kalyaninagar and Undri will get an accidental cover of ₹2 lakh

Joel Edwin, honorary secretary, the Bishop’s Education Society, issued a letter on Monday to parents and guardians stating that the scheme will cover day scholar student plus one parent under accidental insurance.

“Accidental insurance of ₹two lakh and an educational grant of ₹one lakh will be covered. Educational grant will be covered in case of death, permanent/partial disability to the earning parent. Claim can be paid to guardian or school as per the requirement,” said Edwin.

“The accidental medical extension covers up to 10% of accidental death benefit sum insured or 40% of admissible disability claim or actuals, whichever is lesser subject to maximum of ₹10,000 per policy period with deductible of ₹500 for each claim,” stated the letter.
