Afghanistan vs Hong Kong HIGHLIGHTS, Asia Cup 2025: Afghanistan eased past Hong Kong, winning by 94 runs in the opener of 2025 Asia Cup at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. The Hong Kong batters crumbled under pressure in the run-chase as the gap was huge between both sides. Babar Hayat made the only noteworthy knock, registered 39 off 43 balls, packed with three sixes. Meanwhile, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Gulbadin Naib bagged two wickets for Afghanistan as Hong Kong stuttered to 94/9 in 20 overs, in their run-chase of 189.In the first innings, Sediqullah Atal and Azmatullah Omarzai combined well in the middle overs, taking Afghanistan to 188/6 in 20 overs. Atal was left alone as his opening partnership Rahmanullah Gurbaz departed early, leaving for eight off five balls. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Zadran was dismissed for one run off four balls. Mohammad Nabi did give him some support, eventually losing his wicket to Kinchit Shah for 33 off 26 balls. Gulbadin Naib failed to justify his return to the playing XI, losing his wicket to Shah for five off eight balls. Azmatullah Omarzai's arrival gave Atal the perfect chance to form a partnership. The pair raced through the middle overs, as Omarzai smacked 53 off 21 balls. Atal remained unbeaten at 73* off 52 deliveries.
