IPL 2022 Highlights, DC vs KKR: Kuldeep Yadav once again emerged as the standout player against his former franchise as Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets in the Indian Premier League clash on Thursday evening. The spinner scalped four wickets in the three overs he bowled. Riding on his clinical performance, Delhi restricted Kolkata Knight Riders to 146/9 in 20 overs after inviting them to bat first. In response, Delhi Capitals started the run chase on a shaky note, losing Prithvi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh inside the first two overs. Shaw was dismissed by Umesh Yadav on 0, while Harshit Rana dismissed Marsh on 13 (7). Warner then built a solid 65-run stand with Lalit Yadav, before Umesh broke the partnership, dismissing Warner on 42. Capitals then lost Lalit and Rishabh Pant in quick succession. Axar Patel then tried to restore normalcy before he was run-out on 24 (17). Rovman Powell then steered the Delhi unit home, finishing the match with a maximum. The tall Windies player returned unbeaten on 33 off 16 balls. Earlier in the evening, Nitish Rana scored 57 off 34 deliveries to help KKR post a respectable total on the board. The Delhi Capitals batting line-up will be headlined by David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, and Rishabh Pant.
If we look at their current form, Warner has been splendid. He hit three consecutive half-centuries but failed to fire big in their previous encounter against Rajasthan.
Similarly, Shaw too has been among the runs and the franchise will hope for a big score from the little man.
Pant also need to take charge with the bat. He is yet to score a half-century this time around.
