Yusuf Pathan wouldn’t have asked for a better start to Ranji Trophy 2017-18 campaign with Baroda, as the burly all-rounder hammered back-to-back centuries in the first match itself against Madhya Pradesh recently.

However, Yusuf’s twin centuries had no bearing upon the result as Madhya Pradesh sauntered to a win by eight wickets, claiming crucial points at the start of the season.

While there were quite a few thing that came into notice from the contest. one that was caught the camera involving the two Pathan brothers — Yusuf and Irfan — would be etched in the memories of the Indian cricket fans for long.

Irfan Pathan recently shared a video of Yusuf getting to his century with a six. In the video, Irfan can be spotted cheering for his brother’s success even before the umpire had signalled it six.

The younger Pathan dropped his bat on the ground in joy and pumped his fists in the air, while Yusuf took off his helmet only after umpire signalled it was a six.

Irfan had earlier rued the fact that the Group C match in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2017-18 was not telecast on TV.

In the first innings, Yusuf smacked 13 fours and six sixes to score 111 off 125 balls. Whereas in the second, the right-hander was even more belligerent as he hammered 16 sixes and seven fours to score 136 off 154 balls.

Yusuf and Irfan were also involved in a crucial partnership of 188 for the fifth wicket, after MP had reduced Baroda to 54/4 at one stage. Irfan was unfortunate to have missed out on a century as he fell for 80.
