3:18 PM IST The captain of Namibia - Gerhard Erasmus says the margin of defeat is pretty big, and they were aiming to compete strongly and put themselves in a better position to win at home. He admits they are not happy with the result. He backs the decision to bowl first, explaining that the plan was to make early inroads and restrict South Africa below par. He feels better execution with the ball could have kept them to 270-290, which would have given Namibia a stronger chance, especially with the ground's short side making totals difficult to defend. Erasmus says the positives include getting more experience against a quality South African side, with Jack Brassell's four wickets and a few useful contributions with the bat also standing out. He adds that Namibia need seven or eight players to step up and push South Africa closer, which could provide valuable momentum over the next few months, while there is still plenty to play for on Sunday.

Brevis was electric in the field too, pulling off a one-handed stunner and effecting a run-out that broke the hosts' only significant stand. South Africa were always in control, though they may have hoped to finish things off sooner after such a strong start. Nqobani Mokoena removed Gerhard Erasmus before Jansen and Bosch returned to wrap up the win without much fuss.
