Nondumiso Shangase

Nondumiso Shangase was born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, in April 1996. Operating as a right-arm off-spinner and right-handed middle-order batter, she provides versatility across both departments. Shangase made her senior provincial debut for KwaZulu-Natal Coastal during the 2014-15 season. Over subsequent years, she established herself as a core spinner and middle-order batter for the Hollywoodbets Dolphins in domestic white-ball competitions.

She made her senior T20I debut for South Africa against Pakistan in Pietermaritzburg in May 2019, followed by her ODI debut against India in Vadodara in October 2019. In early 2020, she was named in South Africa's squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia.

Over the following seasons, Shangase featured across senior international fixtures and led bowling attacks for South Africa Emerging, including tours of Bangladesh. In early 2024, she was part of the South African squad that won the silver medal at the African Games in Accra, Ghana, before returning to the senior white-ball squad for the home series against England in late 2024.

In late 2025, Shangase was included in South Africa's squad for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in India, where the team finished as runners-up. Throughout the 2025-16 domestic season, she continued as a primary all-rounder for the Dolphins in both the CSA Women's Pro20 and Pro50 Series.

In July and August 2026, Shangase captained South Africa Women Emerging in their home series against Bangladesh Emerging. She subsequently returned to senior international duty for South Africa's tour of Zimbabwe in September 2026, contributing with both bat and ball during a 5-0 T20I series sweep at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
