Nthabiseng Nini

Nthabiseng Nini is a right-arm bowler who operates with a disciplined rhythm, generating steep bounce and seam movement. Her cricket journey began on the streets of Ikageng in North West province using taped tennis balls and makeshift equipment. Her speed and accuracy earned her entry into formal coaching systems, where she advanced through North West provincial youth squads to become a primary bowling option for the North West Dragons.

Nini represented South Africa at two consecutive ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cups, first on home soil in 2023 and then in Malaysia in early 2025. In the 2025 tournament, she helped South Africa reach the final, striking with the first ball of the semi-final against Australia. Her performances throughout the tournament earned her selection into the ICC Team of the Tournament.

In domestic cricket, Nini captained the North West Dragons senior side through an undefeated promotion campaign, elevating them back to Division 1 of the Hollywoodbets Pro Series. At the North West Cricket Awards, she received Bowler of the Year honors across two separate Pro Series formats.

Her development accelerated in early 2026 through the CSA Women High Performance Camp. In July and August 2026, Nini led the attack for South Africa Women Emerging against Bangladesh Emerging at Chatsworth Stadium, returning figures that included an economical spell of four overs for seven runs and key wickets.

Nini made her senior international T20I debut for South Africa on September 11, 2026, against Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, taking three wickets for 17 runs. She took another wicket on September 13 and finished the series on September 19 with three wickets for 19 runs, including a maiden over. Finishing with seven wickets across three matches in a 5-0 series sweep, Nini established her place in South Africa's senior international bowling rotation.
