Why Virender Sehwag called Steve Smith ‘Tubelight’ after India-Australia series

Virender Sehwag has been entertaining us throughout this cricket season with his tweets. So, when India finally wrapped up the season with a 2-1 series win against Australia to reclaim the Border Gavaskar Trophy, the fiery opener decided to give his own ‘Gharelu’ awards to the cricketers.
In the ‘Gharelu awards’ Sehwag compared several Indian cricketers with household items. But the most interesting tag was given to Steve Smith – ‘Tubelight’.
A ‘tubelight’ is generally used as a slang for dim-wit. Sehwag might be referring to the Bangalore Test, when Smith looked up to the dressing room for suggestions on taking a DRS. It led to a huge controversy, with Virat Kohli hinting that the Australia captain might have cheated.
