On Sunday, senior leaders of the AAP met the family of the victim, who was attacked by another family after he confronted them over lewd remarks passed on his daughter. After the meeting, the AAP’s Delhi convener Gopal Rai said, “We urge the Centre to construct a police post in the area to keep law and order under check.”
Deputy commissioner of police (west) Monica Bharadwaj said, “The infrastructure of a police post exists in the area. But it has to undergo major repairs. We have expedited the process so that the police post starts functioning at the earliest.”
