Upset over poor score in CBSE Class 10 exam, student hangs self in Delhi

A 17-year-old student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Kakrola in New Delhi on Tuesday after finding out that he scored 59% in the CBSE Class 10 exam. The deceased, Rohit Kumar Meena, was a student of MR Vivekananda Model School in Dwarka.

Upset over not securing good marks in the CBSE Class 10 board examination, a 17-year-old student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Kakrola in New Delhi on Tuesday, police said.

The deceased, Rohit Kumar Meena, was a student of MR Vivekananda Model School in Dwarka. He had secured 59% marks in the exam.

No suicide note has been found but it is suspected that he was upset after the results, police added.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police were informed around 3.45pm about the incident.

The Central Board of Secondary Education declared the Class 10 board exam results on Tuesday.
