The House was adjourned three times for 30 minutes each by Speaker Harmohinder Singh Chatha to restore order after the INLD members raised slogans against Minister of State for Home Gopal Kanda and the State Government. The opposition parties led by Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala were pressing for Kanda’s expulsion from the Council of Ministers in the state.

The ruckus, which appeared to be a continuation of acrimonious scenes witnessed on Monday, ended with the suspension of 28 MLAs of INLD and on member of SAD. Of the INLD members present in the House at the time, all except Chautala were suspended for the remaining session.

The former CM also left the House with his party legislators. Kanda, who is an Independent MLA from Chautala's home district of Sirsa, categorically denied the charges. As soon as the Question Hour got over, all hell broke loose in the Assembly when Chautala claimed he had documentary evidence to prove that the vehicle used in the incident belonged to the minister.

The car was purchased from a loan of R1 crore taken from a private bank by a firm, King Buildcon Limited, in which Gopal Goyal was one of the three directors, he said, waving a sheaf of papers.
