According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), another western disturbance is expected to affect north western India between February 14 and February 15.

“The effect of this western disturbance will be more pronounced over Delhi and the adjoining states. Fairly widespread rainfall is expected in Delhi, Haryana, UP and other areas. Peak rainfall is expected between the nights of February 15 and February 16. Thunderstorm accompanied by hailstorm may also occur,” said OP Singh, deputy director general meteorology, regional Met centre, New Delhi.

The western disturbance is also expected to bring moderate snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

But rainfall is not all that the western disturbance is expected to bring to the city. According to IMD officials, the minimum temperature will fall significantly after the rain and will lead to fog for three days from February 18 onwards.
