Cop held for raping minor in Delhi

A traffic police constable and his friend have been held for abducting & raping a minor in a moving car in the Capital.

A traffic police constable and his friend were arrested late on Thursday on the charge of abducting and raping a minor girl in a moving car in New Delhi.

Constable Sanjeev and his friend, a property dealer who was not identified, had abducted a girl from near her home in Swaroopnagar around 3 pm and raped her in the car. They later dropped her on the roadside.

The victim reached her home and informed her family who rushed her to a hospital. Her condition was described as out of danger.

"We have arrested the two men and investigaitons are on," Delhi Police spokesman Rajan Bhagat said.
