Delhi gangrape: owner of bus denied bail

A Delhi court on Tuesday denied bail to Dinesh Yadav, the owner of the bus in which the 23-year-old woman was raped on December 16, HT reports

A Delhi court on Tuesday denied bail to Dinesh Yadav, the owner of the bus in which the 23-year-old woman was raped on December 16.

Yadav is accused of forging documents to register the said bus.

Metropolitan magistrate Chhavi Kapoor said the forged documents are to be sent to the forensic science laboratory for obtaining expert opinion. The police had arrested Yadav on January 2 on charges of cheating, criminal conspiracy and giving false statement on oath.

“He had submitted false information to the state transport department to get the registration certificate and the permit for the said bus,” said the police.
