The campaign is a part of the nomination of Delhi to the UNESCO’s list of World Heritage City (WHC).

Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC), the nodal agency representing Delhi government, Indian National Trust for Arts and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), the NGO implementer, and Kri Foundation, for looking after the intangible heritage aspect, launched a website for ‘Delhi: A Heritage City’ (http://www.delhiheritagecity.org/).

The two agencies have already initiated the process with the UNESCO for inclusion of Delhi in the tentative list of World Heritage Cities.
